We had the opportunity to capture Emily and Will’s wedding this past September! The weather was looking grim. I remember us chatting on the phone and talking about the day. It was calling for thunderstorms. Thankfully, no storms, perfect hazy end of summer light. It was perfect. This is one of many stories that I share with clients, because we cannot control the weather but I do believe in wedding magic that gets things done!

We met Emily and Will in the early beginnings of winter in 2021. We captured their engagement photos around one of the cutest neighborhoods in Richmond, Byrd Park. We instantly hit it off with them. We felt so lucky when they asked us to capture their wedding in Emily’s hometown (as well as Andrew’s) and we could not be more excited.

This was our first time working at the Lesner Inn, one of Virginia Beach’s iconic seaside venues. The golden hour light was magical. We captured their portraits in one spot. Thats all we needed. It was perfect. Emily and Will wanted their day to be simple and easy. One bridesmaid, one groomsmen. They chose modern silhouettes, hues, and decked out their cake with flowers.
